Castlebar Holdings provides a wide range of asset resolution opportunities for lenders looking to better balance portfolios and manage risk.  With our broad network of strategic partners and affiliates we can help with both performing and non-performing loans across a range of asset types including CRE, C&I and can even look at deals trading at or close to par value. By offering ABL Refinance and Private Equity solutions we are able to help banks resolve troubled loans which otherwise could not be taken out by another bank. 

DISTRESSED LOAN REFINANCING (C&I, ABL AND SPONSOR-BACKED)

In partnership with Frontwell Capital, a $400MM private credit fund, we refinance troubled borrowers with loan size of $5–50MM—often allowing the bank to exit at par while preserving deposit relationships. We are generally industry agnostic and will invest in the US and Canada. This can be a great solution when a refinance with a traditional bank is not an option or the bank is in need to de-risk the loan. We can look at loans with a real estate component provided the CRE exposure is not the majority of the overall exposures.

PRIVATE EQUITY

Through our partnership with DelMar Capital, a family-office backed PE firm, we provide long-term operational and equity support to companies in transition or distress. We focus on small to middle market companies with targeted investments of between $5-40MM across a wide range of industries in both the US and Canada.  We often come across distressed loans where the borrower needs more than just a new lender, they need a capital partner that can help restore the balance sheet and make them bankable again. Well timed PE may be the solution to move a troubled loan back to the line. 

LOAN ACQUISITION 

Sometimes the easiest solution is for a lender to sell a loan. we can move quickly and provide transparent and fair market pricing

  • Agility: We understand the importance of expediency in distressed transactions and upon receipt of due diligence information can provide a quick turnaround of indicative pricing. Can close within 5 to 10 business days of final agreed bid.
